Molly's Arrival
Well...Molly is 4 weeks old today and I'm just getting around to writing about her birth story. I guess that's life with a newborn. After 1 1/2 years of hoping/praying, a little medical intervention, and 9 months of waiting, Molly Cecilia Lau made her debut at 1:28 p.m., July 13th 2011. Here is her story.
At 4 days overdue, I was so ready to give birth to this big baby. Dr. Finberg was ready to have me induced, however, the hospital was really overcrowded that day. I mean people were contracting in the waiting room for 6 hours before getting a bed, and then giving birth in 10 min. CRAZY! When I heard the news that I wasn't going to get a bed Brent, Gracie, and I decided to walk to Rite Aid for some ice cream and hopefully get things going. No such luck...no contractions. I went to bed slightly depressed.
That night I woke up about midnight feeling some contractions. Yay...could this be it? They were really close together so around 1:30 we called the doctor and went to the hospital. When we got there I felt a little like Mary...there was no room at the inn. We were left to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours!!! Finally I had to get hostile with the nurses and they put us in a room. I was dialated 5cm...I then requested my epidural. :):):)
Finally when it was time to push...I was prepared for this baby to just slide right out. Didn't Gracie pave the way?...or so I'd heard numerous people say? WRONG! This little girl decided to come out "sunnyside up"...or whatever the official medical term is. I had to push and push and push.
At 1:28 PM, Molly was born.

Happy Birthday Gracie Girl!

Four years ago we brought her home from the hospital and our lives have never been the same. At four years old you are sweet and sassy and your vocabulary never ceases to amaze me. You love Barbies and Princesses. Your best friends are Aubrey and Ethan. I enjoy listening to you make up songs when you play with your dolls. We love you Gracie Girl!!!
Isn't she lovely.....

Easter...better late than never.
We just got around to loading the Easter pictures onto the computer.
I guess it wasn't that long ago.

Gracie prepared the dye before daddy came home from work. If I had read the directions...then the pink would have turned out better. I wonder why you put vinegar in all the other colors except pink???

Ethan and Zachary. Next year we need to take group pictures. I realized I only had individual ones of the kids.

Nana and baby Lucy. Those two are never apart! It was love at first sight.
